If you have both the FreeStyle LibreLink app× and FreeStyle Libre 2 app§ installed on your phone, you will need to select the app that you are using with your Sensor. If you happen to select the wrong app, you will receive the following error message in the app “Scan Error: The smartphone was unable to scan the sensor. Scan the sensor again”.
If this occurs, please open the correct app and scan your sensor again.
Note: Abbott will be discontinuing the FreeStyle LibreLink app** in Canada on April 30, 2024. The FreeStyle LibreLink app** will no longer be available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for download as of April 30, 2024.
§The FreeStyle Libre 2 app and the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader have similar but not identical features. Finger pricks are required if glucose readings or alarms do not match symptoms or expectations.
