Are the alarms/app notifications for the Libre watch app delivered to both the mobile device and Apple watch?

Yes. Alarms/app notifications can be delivered to either the mobile device or Apple watch, not both. 

Notifications for the Libre watch app* follow the Apple Watch’s functionality to mirror notifications from phone to watch. 

Below are common examples of where the alarms† / app notifications will display based on the following phone/watch app scenarios:

Scenario 1
Notifications appear on the iPhone when iPhone is unlocked, and Apple Watch is locked. 

Scenario 2
Notifications appear on the iPhone when both iPhone and Watch is locked, or Apple Watch is locked. 

Scenario 3
Notifications appear on the iPhone when iPhone is unlocked, and Apple Watch is unlocked. 

Scenario 4
Notifications appear on Apple Watch when iPhone is locked, and Apple Watch is unlocked. 

Scenario 5
Notifications appear on Apple Watch when iPhone is asleep, and Apple Watch is unlocked.

 

*The Libre app for smartwatches is only compatible with certain devices and operating systems. Please check the support section of our website for more information about device compatibility before using the app. Use of the Libre app may require registration with LibreView. The Libre app for smartwatches should not be used to make treatment decisions. Please follow the Libre app instructions on your smartphone. 

† Glucose information and notifications will only be received when your smartphone is within range of your sensor and smartwatch. Notifications seen on your smartwatch are mirrored from the Libre app on your smartphone. You must enable the appropriate settings on your smartphone to receive alerts on your smartwatch.

t:connect Mobile App: The t:connect mobile app is intended to be a secondary display for compatible Tandem Diabetes Care insulin pumps and is capable of wirelessly uploading pump data it receives into the t:connect web application. The t:connect mobile app is not intended to control an insulin pump and is not intended to be a replacement for the information displayed on your insulin pump. Dosing decisions should not be made based on the secondary display device. The user should follow instructions on the continuous glucose monitoring system and insulin pump. This secondary display device is not intended to replace self-monitoring practices as advised by a physician.

♢ Eligible patients will receive one (1) FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor or (1) FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor for users with a compatible mobile phone operating system at $0 copay. The expiration date of the voucher is 60 days from the issue date. This program is available for patients with Type 1 diabetes or Type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes. Patients ages 18 and older are eligible to sign up and receive an offer for the (1) FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor or (1) FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.
