There are different reasons as to why your sensor may not be communicating with the FreeStyle Libre 2 app*† which may result in a "Signal Loss" alarm† and/or "Alarms Unavailable" banner.
To receive alarms, alarms must be turned ON and you should ensure that your app is within 20 feet (6 meters) of you. The sensor's transmission range is 20 feet (6 meters) unobstructed. If you are out of range, you may not receive glucose alarms. Wait approximately 2-4 minutes after coming back into range (unobstructed) and scan the sensor again.
If you are still having issues, try turning your phone’s Bluetooth OFF then ON; your Bluetooth must be ON for your app to function. You may also try restarting your phone; after restarting your phone, make sure you re-open the app. If you continue to experience signal loss, continue to scan your sensor to retrieve your glucose values and please contact our Customer Care Team.
* The FreeStyle Libre systems apps are only compatible with certain mobile devices and operating systems. Please check the Support section of our website for more information about device compatibility before using the apps. Use of the FreeStyle Libre systems apps may require registration with LibreView.
† Alarm notifications will only be received when alarms settings are enabled and turned on and sensor is within 20 feet unobstructed of the reading device.
